Hi everyone, I’m RA Guy! I’ve been living with rheumatoid arthritis for almost two decades now, since the age of 29. It hasn’t been an easy journey–I spent almost all of my 30’s stuck in bed, under a dark cloud of pain and depression–but it’s been a fascinating one. (That’s quite an understatement… haha!) One of the best things that has come from living with this disease has been getting to connect with so many other amazing people all around the world, first through my RA Guy blog, and most recently with all of the exciting work of a team of dedicated volunteers at the RA Guy Foundation. (If you haven’t already done so, I invite you to listen to RA Guy and Friends: A Curiously Hopeful Podcast!).

Living with rheumatoid arthritis can often be a very lonely and frightening experience… but when we come together for encouragement and support, we realize we’re not alone. And meeting so many other people over the years, and realizing that I am—and that we are—indeed not alone, has been one of the biggest blessings that has come from my own personal journey of living with the ups and downs of this challenging disease.
